Ṣalāḥaddīn Ḫalīl Ibn Aibak aṣ-Ṣafādī
Ṣalāḥaddīn Ḫalīl Ibn Aibak aṣ-Ṣafādī (d. 764/1363) was a historian of Turkish descent, best known for his al-Wāfī bi-l-wafayāt, a biographical encyclopedia, which contains in the Biblio-theca Islamica 30 volumes with two additional volumes of indices.
Nearly fifty years after its first publication, this new edition of volume 3 (Muḥammad b. al-Ḥusain to Muḥammad b. ʿAbd Allāh) is based on four manuscripts, which allows to revise the text and expand the number of biographies included in this volume. It was edited by Muḥammad al-Ḥuǧairī.
